You read the book and then watched the movie but it is killing you to know what is going on in your favorite character’s life since the movie ended. Why not read the sequel? Many of the book to movies that were shown this summer actually continue on in one or more books. Are you intrigued?
Divergent – Do you need to know what is happening to Tris and Four? The next in the series is Insurgent which will be released as a movie in 2015 so you still have time to read it and the conclusion to the series, Allegiant.
The Giver – The Giver has been referred to as the original dystopian novel. Jonas’s life continues in Gathering Blue, Messenger and Son.
The Maze Runner (release date September 19, 2014) – This is a series that actually starts before the movie with a prequel called The Death Cure.
If I Stay – Mia…does she stay or go and where to? Which brings me to the title of the sequel, Where She Went.
Ender’s Game – So what happens to Ender after the “game” ends? More than even I expected. Ender’s Game is book one in a 12 book series sure to keep you busy and intrigued for a long while.
Frostbite. There are a total of eight books in the series for you to feed upon.
Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, Pt 1 (release date November 21, 2014) – While most of the series has already been released in movie format, there is still time to read Mockingjay before it appears in the theaters.
If you haven’t seen these movies, why not take the time to read the book before you see the movie. Then just keep going. You know you want to, I can tell. Enjoy!
