Business Admin Assistant

Hours: 19.5/week

Pay: pay rate starting at $25.00/hour DOQ. Benefits include: paid time off including vacation, personal, and sick time

Description

The Westmont Public Library District is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated part-time Business Administrative Assistant. Under the direct supervision of the Library Director, this person performs administrative duties for the administration department. Responsibilities include processing invoices for the Village finance department, preparing reports and financial data, acting as recording secretary for Board Meetings, ordering supplies, helping coordinate maintenance appointments and keeping records of inspections and work orders, and assisting with general office management duties. The hours are flexible for this 19.5 hour a week position with the exception of the third Tuesday of each month, when an evening shift is required.

Qualifications

Qualifications include strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, an aptitude for handling basic accounting tasks, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with staff, elected officials, and vendors. Applicants should have a bachelors degree. Previous administrative experience preferred.

Patron Services Associate

Hours: 19.5/week

Pay: Starting pay rate $14.82/hour DOQ. Benefits include: paid time off including vacation, personal, and sick time

Description

The Westmont Public Library is seeking a friendly and customer service driven individual to join our team as a Patron Services Associate. Applicants should enjoy serving a diverse public, using a variety of technology, and working collaboratively with staff and patrons. Primary duties include answering patrons’ questions, circulating materials, and creating library cards. This is a public facing position. At WPL we value collaboration generated by a positive, friendly environment. A good sense of humor is a must! In addition to departmental responsibilities, staff members have opportunities to participate on committees and represent the library at special events.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma. A minimum of one year working experience in a customer driven environment is required.
