Furyborn cover

The prophecy reads: Two queens will rise, one of blood and one of light. The Sun Queen will possess the power to save the world and the Blood Queen will destroy it. Rielle and Eliana are two young women separated by a millennium. Rielle possesses all seven kinds of elemental magic that she has been hiding all her life. When Rielle’s powers are discovered she has to undergo a series of trials to test her magic in order to prove that she’s the Sun Queen. Eliana is a bounty hunter that lives in a society without elemental magic. When women start going missing from her city she doesn’t think anything of it, until her mother disappears. Eliana has no choice but to join forces with a mysterious man to find her mother. Rielle and Eliana’s lives seem to be completely separate stories, but their destinies are intertwined with one another.

Furyborn is the first installment in the captivating Europium Trilogy. The prologue plunges readers immediately into the suspenseful story of Rielle and then continues into alternating chapters of both main characters. Eliana and Rielle have distinct voices and story lines to make it easy to tell them apart. The high fantasy world building can be a little hard to follow since things shift between the past and future, but there is a front map to help guide readers who really want to follow along. Rielle’s story is focused on romance and friendships, and holds some devious twits. Eliana’s story circles around family and mystery along with non-stop action. Readers of fantasy will get a little bit of everything with this title, and will not be able to put down Rielle and Eliana’s widely separate yet linked stories.
