 Patron Services Associate (PSA)

The Westmont Public Library is seeking a friendly and customer service driven individual to join our team as a part-time Patron Services Associate.  Applicants should enjoy serving a diverse public, using a variety of technology, and working collaboratively with staff and patrons. Primary duties include answering patrons’ questions, circulating materials and creating library cards.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma; LTA certificate preferred.  A minimum of one year working experience in a customer driven environment is required. This is an 18 hour part-time position which includes nights and weekends. Starting salary is $11.50/hour.

Digital Services Librarian

The Westmont Public Library is seeking a friendly, patron-focused individual to join our Adult Services department as a Digital Services Librarian. Applicants should enjoy serving a diverse public, using a variety of technology, and working collaboratively with staff and patrons. Primary duties include providing individualized assistance to patrons, answering patron’s technology-focused questions, evaluating and promoting the library’s digital resources, and planning, presenting, and evaluating technology-focused programs for Westmont patrons, both Youth and Adult.

Qualified applicants should have a MLS degree or equivalent from an ALA accredited school or significant coursework completed. Experience in a customer driven environment is required, previous experience developing and teaching technology and maker programs preferred. This is a 19.5 hour part-time position which includes nights and weekends. Starting salary is $21.00/hour. Benefits include paid time off.
