Different dragon clans of Pyrrhia have been at war for centuries with no end in sight. The only hope they have is the Dragonet Prophecy, which states that five dragonets are the key to bringing peace to the dragon realm. Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny are those dragonets, and are raised in a cave by the Talons of Peace, who ensure their safety and protect them from dragons trying to kill them and stop the prophecy from coming true. The dragonets escape their protectors, and their adventure ensues. They accidentally end up in Queen Scarlet’s kingdom, and they find out just why their protectors were keeping them shut away in a cave. In this first installment of the series, we meet all our main characters, and go along with them for the ride as they decide to fulfill the prophecy and bring peace to Pyrrhia. 

Tui T. Sutherland brings a wonderful new world to life in this book. As the first in a long series, this sets the scene for the prophecy and the adventure the dragonets are about to embark on. Sensitive readers should be aware of the war scenes described at a couple points in the book. With funny characters, it makes war and fighting more lighthearted and easy for readers of all ages to enjoy. While all our characters are dragons, Sutherland does a fantastic job of making them relatable and human-like so that the reader can still connect to the story and grow to care about the dragons. This book draws the reader into the world of Pyrrhia and leaves them wanting more. This is also a fantastic series for readers that enjoy finding a world and characters they love, and fully immerse themselves into the world with each new book.
