The characters of Ben and Anna are a bit less interesting than the cast of characters around them. Ben is considerate and sweet, Anna leans on him constantly, and any conflict between the two of them, even the larger conflict near the end of the story, is resolved quickly. While We Were Dating is a love story, through and through, but it’s a light one. An easy read where the stakes are low, While We Were Dating is recommended for veteran romance readers and those discovering the genre for the first time.
