Get a library card
Your Westmont Public Library card will connect you to 100+ other area libraries, more than 8 million items in the SWAN consortium, and digital materials and resources through our Digital Branch.
Eligibility
- Residents: Residents of the Westmont Public Library taxing district are eligible for a Westmont library card at no additional cost. For youth ages 0 – 17, a parent or guardian who assumes responsibility for all borrowed materials must apply.
- Non residents: If you live in an unincorporated area, and we are the closest library to your home, you can purchase a Westmont Public Library card (or cards) for your household. Students living in unincorporated Westmont who qualify for free or reduced lunch at school can get a library card at no cost through the Cards for Kids program.
- Businesses: Westmont businesses are also eligible for cards.
Apply for a library card
There are two ways to get a library card: fill out our online form to apply for a card or visit the Library’s Main Desk in person. When you apply online, you will receive a full-access card with all the same benefits as a physical card obtained in person.

Business library cards
Obtaining a business library card
Applicants should present their lease or proof of business ownership (such as a copy of a tax bill or business license) within the boundaries of the Westmont Public Library taxing district to obtain a library card.
Employees and other representatives must present the card in order to borrow items.
Benefits of a business library card
Business library cardholders have access to all of the same materials and services that other library cardholders enjoy, and can be used in the same way. There are no limitations or restrictions on business library cards.
A Westmont business library card gives business patrons access to our entire selection of physical materials, digital collections, and Makery devices.
