Notary Public services

Westmont Public Library has limited notary services available by appointment, subject to notary availability. To have a document notarized, please make an appointment online. We are unable to take walk-ins.

Things to know before you book an appointment

  • We cannot communicate with a notary patron through a translator.
  • We are unable to notarize or certify the following:
    • Real estate transaction documents
    • Documents written in any language other than English
    • Visa and immigration paperwork
    • Documents from foreign governments
    • Copies of identification or vital records
    • I-9 employment verification forms
  • We reserve the right to decline to notarize any document.
  • We reserve the right to cancel no-show appointments after 15 minutes.

What to bring to your appointment

  • A valid, unexpired photo ID with signature, issued by a US state or federal government
  • Completed, unsigned documents. Documents must be signed in front of a Notary. Notaries may not notarize a document with any blank spaces.
  • Witnesses, if required. We cannot provide witnesses for you, and library patrons may not be solicited to act as witnesses.
  • $1 fee per notary stamp
