Growing up in the eastern side of the globe, yoga was always an integral part of my life. In the early morning, as one was heading out to the school or college, one would see people practicing various types of yoga poses or doing some deep breathing exercises. This was as commonplace as the milkman or the washerwoman, so no one paid any attention to them.

Jump ahead a few decades, to a new country and a totally new environment.  Running around and trying to make a life can be very stressful. You mix that with raising a toddler and you definitely need help. So just by chance I had an opportunity to attend a yoga camp and came back quite refreshed (what a relief for my family!).   So I decided to be more disciplined and make yoga my daily workout. I found various dvds about Yoga for Beginners & Beyond. As I had not practiced for years, this helped me relearn some basic poses and develop some daily routines. It has yoga for stress, yoga for beginners, and yoga for inflexible people. The best part is the bonus feature – His Holiness Dalai Lama discussing  meditation.

So let’s all look forward to a calm, healthy and happy  life!
