Today's Hours: noon – 4 pm | Visiting the Library | Curbside Info

Read Beyond the Beaten Path with Westmont Public Library this summer from June 1 – August 10, 2022. All ages are invited to participate.

How it works

Visit our Beanstack site or install the Beanstack Tracker app.

You can log in with an existing Beanstack account, if you have one, or create a new account. To add other family members to your account, simply Add a Reader. See detailed instructions.

Record your reading in Beanstack or on a paper log. For Read to Me and Adult challenges, log each book you read. Grade School and Teen readers track by minutes.

As you hit reading milestones, you’ll earn prizes, tickets to apply towards prize drawings, and virtual badges.

Prizes

For participants in the Read to Me, Grade School, and Teen challenges, prizes include a book of your choice, pop-it keychains*, Zazzo’s pizza slice coupons, customizable swag (color-your-own pencil pouches* for Read to Me and Grade School participants; water bottles with decals for Teen readers), and tickets toward additional prize drawings.

*Alternative prizes for babies are available.

Adults can earn Summer Read-themed decals and terrarium kits, plus drawing entries for gift cards from local businesses: Fair Game (in Downers Grove), King Car Wash, and Zazzo’s Pizza & Bar.

Beanstack instructions

If you’ve already used Beanstack for a prior reading program, such as last year’s Summer Reading or Westmont Reads, you can use the same account for this challenge. If you’re new to Beanstack, all you need to sign up is an email address.
