Worm and caterpillar are friends, and worm believes they have almost everything in common. As time goes on and more differences appear, can they still be friends? The book ends with some facts about worm and caterpillar life cycles and how to draw each character.
This is a sweet introduction to graphic novels for the beginning reader. Illustrations are uncrowded and panels flow easily with only 2 per page. The first couple pages also explain how to read a graphic novel’s speech and thought bubbles. The book is part of a collection by different authors called “Ready-to-Read Graphics”. Another option in the collection at Westmont Public Library is PJ Masks: PJ Masks Save the Daytime!.
