The Answer to the Riddle Is Me, MacLean relates his long journey back from the brink. Interspersed are chapters about the history and treatment of malaria, as well as the development and administration of antimalarial drugs. It’s terrifying, and fascinating, and a great read. I cannot recommend it enough.
